Packing For A Safari in Africa: Everything You Need To Know

This is our ultimate guide on what to bring with you on a luxury safari in Africa.

Kenya has warm days and often cold mornings and evenings.

Daily Game drives are either in the early morning with sunrise or in the late afternoon and returning just after sunset.

It can get very cold in the Safari Jeep in the morning and then again on return in after the sunset so it's always advised to wear a few lawyers or warm clothing with the option to remove them later if needed.

We recommend neutral safari clothing. This includes shades of khaki, brown, beige/tan, and green. These colours blend in well with the bush and are best-suited to safari travel.

Avoid black and dark blue clothing (both colours attract tsetse flies), and leave bright-white items at home; safari parks are often dusty.

Neon-bright clothing scares wildlife so bright orange, red and yellow is also not recommended.

Lastly, it's always good to bring at least one nice outfit for a nice dinner or an event.
